New Finds for a Healthier You!
Instead of a recipe this week, I wanted to share these great new finds to help make your life and ability to make healthier choices easier!
First is a microwavable sweet potato. I found this one at Mariano’s for $1 each
You simply microwave for 6-8 minutes and have a fully cooked sweet potato ready to eat!
Great for bringing to work or when getting home from a long day.
Next, I haven’t had an english muffin in a while and when just picking them up I noticed that the light 100 calorie Thomas english muffin not only are low in calorie, but also have 8 grams of fiber! This is a great start to your morning to fill you up and help keep you full for the day.
Nature valley recently made a granola cup that I tried the peanut butter chocolate flavor of. Let me tell you, it’s amazing. I describe it as a “healthy” Reese’s peanut butter cup. For 200 calories, 20 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of protein, these are a great “treat” when craving some sweets.
Also in almond butter flavor!
If you’re craving ice cream there’s many low calorie options, but only a few are worth having.
For 100 calories and 5 grams of protein, Yasso frozen greek yogurt bars are a great late night treat.
They come in many flavors and are very satisfying.
Finally, my new favorite! I have been craving pizza for a while and wanted a low calorie option (it didn’t seem possible but I found it!)
This Home run in personal pizza is under 300 calories, really tasty and put my pizza craving to bed. It took 8 minutes to bake but can also be microwaved if you’re at work. Definitely recommend in addition to a side of veggies, this can make for a great meal!
All of these options are low in calorie and have some protein to boost your protein intake for the day. I recommend you to try and please share if you like them!
Happy Wednesday!
